Our focus is on providing a relaxing and enjoyable cruising experience, and we are not licensed or equipped for fishing activities.

There is a marine toilet onboard in a separate bathroom. It is operated electrically, simple to use and instructions will be given when you board. You must only use the marine grade toilet paper provided and not too much. Nothing else must go in the toilet. There is a bin in the bathroom for other waste.
The boat has an outside shower on the back deck. This has hot and cold fresh water and eco-friendly body wash. Instructions for use will be given at the time.

The Skipper is Steve Hitchcock, the owner of the “Time Out” and he will be onboard the entire cruise with you.
You cannot drive the boat.
This is a commercial vessel with strict rules and regulations.
Everything is included. There are no additional fees.
Safety is paramount, with the vessel being commercially registered, insured, and equipped with all the essential safety gear.

No for wheelchair bound people, sorry. The vessel doesn’t have accessible companionways, exits and entrances for wheelchair use.
For other disabilities, best to contact us first to discuss. Use of the dinghy and SUPs is not allowed for disabled folk.
Can we bring a baby or child?
No sorry, this cruise is for adults only. There are no infant or child lifejackets onboard.

What do I need to bring?
- Sunglasses and Hat
- Swimmers
- White-soled shoes or white socks or just your bare feet onboard (we’ll park your walking shoes when you board)
- Your favourite suncream, in case you don’t like ours
- Any prescriptions you may need on the day
- A long-sleeve or rashie top on hot days
- A warm top, multiple layers, or even a puffer jacket on cooler days
- A book to read if relaxation is your thing
- Your phone – best to have a strap attached or in a waterproof bag (they slip off boats easily!)
- Your camera, if additional to your phone, some great photos await.
- You’re welcome to access your playlist through the onboard bluetooth speaker, but make sure your music is saved to the phone before you arrive.

I’ll show you where the lifejackets are when you board but I don’t expect you to wear one. If you can’t swim, you mustn’t use the dinghy or SUPs.
All of it, except the helm! There is a sunbed at front, seating at the rear, additional seating inside and upstairs, plus a downstairs cabin for your gear and to get changed. A table will be set up for the alfresco lunch.
Yes, there is a café in Brooklyn and another one at the Hawkesbury River Marina where you can purchase a coffee if you are early, plus a general store also on the marina.
The Anglers Rest hotel is 5mins walk up the street if you have spare time to meet some locals after your cruise.
The skipper has a legal responsibility for the safety of the passengers and crew onboard. Should this be compromised in any way, he may contact the Police or other authorities and arrange to meet them at a convenient wharf.

Off-vessel activities will be at your risk and looking after your own gear is your risk.
The person making the booking needs to agree to a Waiver/Indemnity on behalf of themselves and their co-passenger. Using the dinghy and paddle boards are not inherently dangerous, but once off the vessel, the skipper cannot be responsible for your safety. Approaching the shore, it’s possible to step on oyster shells or slip on rocks where injury may occur. The skipper will administer first aid onboard and call for emergency help if needed.
We do take your safety seriously
No. While on the vessel, you do not need to wear a lifejacket. The skipper will show you where they are in case of emergency.
If you take out the dinghy on your own, the law says you must wear a lifejacket. If you go out together, you can choose whether or not to wear them.
If you take out the paddle boards, you can choose whether or not to wear a lifejacket. Most people don’t, because they restrict use of the paddle.
The weather outlook for your cruise day is of course unpredictable at the time of booking. Most trips go ahead even if cloudy or light rain occurs. The crucial factor is local wind.
We may choose to go upstream to avoid strong coastal winds. If the forecast wind is too strong, the skipper will cancel the cruise due to safety concerns. This is usually foreseeable 2 days prior but can sometimes only become known the day before.
If the skipper has confirmed the cruise as going ahead, but you have reservations about the weather, then you may choose to defer or cancel the booking.

Our cancellation policy applies whatever your reason for cancelling. You are more likely to enjoy your cruise if you cancel then re-book for a time when you’ve recovered.

It is very uncommon for passengers to suffer from seasickness on the Hawkesbury River. Should the water become choppy due to windy conditions, the skipper will seek more sheltered areas of the river. If you are nervous about seasickness beforehand, you may consider taking ginger or travacalm before you leave home.
We do have these onboard, however its best to take an hour before boarding.
There are no restrictions about cruising whilst pregnant. Just ensure you notify us beforehand about your dietary requirements.
